A destination unlike anywhere else on earth.
A Place Like No Other
This is a private property in the mountains of southwestern Costa Rica, perched above the jungle canopy with direct views of the Pacific Ocean, more than 300 miles of mountain ridgeline and Diamante Falls, an 1,800-foot waterfall and the second tallest in the country. The land sits at 2,000 feet above the valley floor in the hills between Dominical and San Isidro, where the coastal rainforest meets the highland cloud forest. It is a place where toucans and scarlet macaws fly past the pool deck, where howler monkeys call from the trees at sunrise and where hummingbirds hover outside your window all day long.
The property was built by hand over more than a decade by the people who live here. Every piece of woodwork, every painted ceiling, every carved stone detail was shaped with intention. The architecture is one of a kind, a blend of tropical hardwood construction, soaring open-air pavilions and intimate stone-walled rooms that feel like they grew out of the mountain itself. There is no other building like it in Costa Rica and no other venue that offers this combination of natural grandeur and handcrafted artistry.
Imagine standing with the person you love on a stone terrace overlooking the valley, with the Pacific Ocean glinting in the distance and the sound of the waterfall rising from below. Imagine a dinner for twenty at a hand-carved wooden table under the open sky, with locally grown food prepared by a private chef and candles flickering in the warm evening air. Imagine waking up the next morning in a room with thirty-foot painted ceilings, a giant stone bathtub and a view that stretches to the horizon in every direction.
It is remote enough to feel like another world, but accessible enough for your guests to arrive comfortably. The international airport in San Jose is roughly three and a half hours by car and the coastal town of Dominical is just 30 minutes away. What feels like the edge of the earth is, in reality, a well-connected destination with infrastructure to support exactly the kind of intimate, meaningful celebration you are looking for.
Celebrations We Host
Whether you are planning an intimate ceremony for two or a multi-day celebration with your closest people, we will help you create something that feels authentically yours.
Small weddings and elopements on the property, surrounded by jungle and overlooking the valley. Say your vows on the stone terrace with the Pacific Ocean in the distance, or exchange rings under the open-air pavilion with the sound of the waterfall below. We accommodate intimate ceremonies for as few as two people and as many as twenty-five. No cookie-cutter packages. Every detail is tailored to what matters to you. Local officiants, florists and photographers are available upon request.
The Master Suite is the ultimate honeymoon suite. Views of the Pacific Ocean, mountain ridgeline and an 1,800-foot waterfall, all visible from the bed. Thirty-foot hand-painted ceilings rise above you. A giant stone bathtub sits beside the window. The room opens directly onto a private balcony that overlooks the valley. Couples who stay here tell us it is the most romantic room they have ever slept in. Add private chef dinners, couples massages and jungle adventures to build the honeymoon of a lifetime.
Looking for a couples experience that goes far beyond a spa day and a beach cabana? Learn to fly trapeze together with a private coach. Hike to hidden waterfalls in the jungle. Float in the infinity pool overlooking the valley while howler monkeys call from the trees. Share meals prepared by a private chef at a hand-carved table under the stars. A couples retreat at Airborne Arts is built around shared adventure and genuine connection in one of the most beautiful settings in the world.
Milestone celebrations deserve a setting that feels once in a lifetime. Whether you are marking a 10th anniversary, a 50th birthday, a retirement, or any occasion worth remembering, the property delivers an experience that matches the significance of the moment. Bring your partner, your family, or your closest friends for a multi-day celebration surrounded by jungle, mountains and the kind of beauty that makes ordinary time feel extraordinary.
Bring your closest friends and family for a multi-day celebration at the property. With accommodations ranging from the Master Suite and the Avalon Guest Room to glamping tents and jungle cabins, there is a place for everyone in your party. Spend the days training on the trapeze together, hiking to waterfalls, swimming in the pool and sharing stories around the fire pit. Evenings are for long meals at the communal table, live music at the on-site studio and stargazing from the deck. Groups of up to 25 guests can be accommodated across the property, making this an ideal choice for wedding parties who want a destination celebration that doubles as a shared adventure.
The Venue
The property at Airborne Arts was not designed by a hotel chain or assembled from prefabricated parts. Every structure on the land was built by hand over more than ten years, using locally sourced tropical hardwoods, natural stone and the kind of attention to detail that only comes from people who live in the space they are creating. The result is a venue that feels alive, warm and entirely unlike anything you will find in a brochure.
For ceremonies and celebrations, several distinct spaces are available across the property. The Temple of Light is an open-air pavilion with soaring 20 to 25-foot ceilings, surrounded by jungle on all sides. It is where aerial arts training normally takes place, but it transforms beautifully into a ceremony space with natural light filtering through the canopy and mountain views framing every angle. The pool deck overlooks the valley and the Pacific Ocean beyond, with an infinity edge that seems to drop into the jungle itself. Stone terraces carved into the hillside offer more intimate vantage points for smaller ceremonies or quiet moments. The covered dining area, centered around a hand-carved wooden table that seats up to twenty, is where meals are shared family-style throughout every event.
Meals at Airborne Arts are prepared by a private chef using locally sourced, mostly organic ingredients. Expect tropical fruit from nearby farms, fresh-caught fish from the coast, hand-made tortillas and dishes that reflect the flavors of Costa Rica and beyond. Dietary needs and preferences are always accommodated and for special occasions, we work with you to create a menu that fits the celebration, whether that is a formal multi-course dinner for your wedding party or a casual barbecue by the pool.
Accommodations for your wedding party span several options. The Master Suite is the obvious choice for the couple, with its panoramic views, painted ceilings and stone bathtub. The Avalon Guest Room offers a comfortable and private space for parents or VIP guests. The aerial studio dorm is ideal for a group of friends who want to stay close together. Lotus Belle glamping tents sit tucked into the hillside with jungle views and real beds. And the A-frame jungle cabins provide a rustic, intimate experience for guests who want to feel immersed in the forest. Every accommodation option includes three organic meals daily, access to the pool and common areas and the full hospitality of the property.
