Train pole in the open air with the jungle valley below you. Strength, flow and a setting that changes everything.
Vertical Training
There is a particular feeling to inverting on a pole with no walls around you, a valley underneath and weather on your skin. Our open-air studio holds rigged poles alongside the aerial apparatus, with the Diamante valley and an 1,800-foot waterfall in your sightline. The photos do not exaggerate. This is what pole training looks like here.
A pole week at Airborne Arts blends coached technique sessions with conditioning, flexibility work and open training. Coaches scale everything from first inverts to advanced strength combos. The week is built for progress you can keep: skills drilled enough times to stay in your body, supported by three freshly prepared meals a day and real recovery between sessions.
Pole pairs naturally with the rest of the studio. Most guests cross-train during the week: silks for grip and endurance, hoop for spatial awareness, flying trapeze because it is there and it is impossible to resist. Your pole work benefits from all of it, and the variety keeps a full week of training sustainable.
Pole-focused retreat weeks are scheduled through the year alongside our guest-instructor program, and the studio's poles are available during every retreat and training stay. If you want a dedicated pole week for yourself, your training partners or your studio, a private or custom retreat puts the schedule entirely in your hands.
What You Will Train
Clean fundamentals first: spins, climbs, and inverts built on progressions that protect your shoulders.
For experienced polers: handsprings, shoulder mounts and the conditioning ladder that gets you there.
Linking tricks into movement, with musicality work in the open-air studio at golden hour.
Silks, hoop and trapeze sessions that build grip, core and air sense that transfer straight back to pole.
Where to Go Next
Every stay includes lodging above the Diamante valley and three freshly prepared meals a day. Deposits and payment plans are available on most retreat weeks, so you can reserve your spot now and pay over time.
Common Questions
A few months of classes is plenty for a retreat week, and training stays welcome everyone from first-timers up. Tell us your level when you book and the coaching adjusts to it.
The poles and rigging are professional grade, so the technique is identical. Temperature and humidity affect grip, and coaches help you adapt quickly. Most guests find they grip better here than at home.
Yes. Training stays run year-round: you stay on the property, eat with everyone, and book coached sessions or open training around your own schedule.
Most retreat weeks include open apparatus time, and pole is part of the studio. If a week is focused on hoop or trapeze, you can still put pole sessions into your daily schedule.
